When I visited Little Rock a few months ago, I had the pleasure of visiting the Garvan Woodland Gardens. It was an incredibly muggy and miserably hot day, especially for early-September, but it was worth all the sweat and flush face. There were a few highlights from the walk around the grounds: the curved wooden bridge; the cave with the waterfall blocking its entrance; and the view of the lake through the trees (though, the loud party boats kind of put a damper on the serene ambiance of the the whole thing).
I’d love to go back when things are more in bloom and when I have more time to explore (it’s difficult to see the majority of the 210-acre grounds when you’re hanging out with a 2-year-old who wants to race and jump, and seems to only know the word “again!”).
