Photo Essay: Portofino and Camogli

When you think about Italy, what images are conjured up? For me, the first thought is always bright buildings, laundry lines, beautiful harbors filled with boats, dramatic hills with huge estates, and Italians going about their everyday lives.

Portofino and Camogli are basically living examples of my mind’s ideas. Not only that, but there are so many perfect alcoves, narrow walkways, and steep staircases adding to the picture and allowing for some interesting photography perspectives.

I spent a couple of days in these small towns just taking it easy, seeing what I could, and snapping as may photos as I could of these typical Italian scenes (to me).
