What to Wear in Iceland

Iceland in the summertime is chilly. And the weather can change at a moment’s notice, so it’s important to wear something warm, and waterproof. Be sure to pack boots (rain or hiking, or better–both), purchase a handmade lopapeysa (Icelandic wool sweater) when you’re there, and pack a large enough bag to carry all your camera equipment (because you’ll need it!). Also, in Reykjavik people are very fashionable (even when bundling up to stay warm) so make sure you pack something nice if you’re going out for a nice dinner or even just a stroll through the town.
